Pro Tip - Do not sell my info

When your credit is pulled by any lender, the 3 Credit Bureaus (Equifax, Transunion, Experian) sell your information to lenders all across the country who will aggressively start calling and spamming you. Until recently there was no way for us to prevent this from happening, but we recently found out there is now a way to opt out of having your credit information sold. This is different from the Do Not Call list. This is specifically for the credit bureaus when having your credit report pulled.
To avoid your credit information from being sold, you can go to: optoutprescreen.com. Follow the prompts and choose the “5 year electronic opt-out option.” This will block the bureaus (Equifax, Transunion, and Experian) from selling your info. It will take about 3-5 days to remove you from their system so best to do so asap before you have your credit report pulled. Otherwise, you should unfortunately brace for an onslaught of lender solicitation.
